Event Description

Ambassador for the Bluebirds, Harry Schmeider, will present his entertaining presentation on bluebirds, their history, courtship, and how they select a nest site. Harry will help us understand their breeding habits, egg laying, and brooding right up through fledgling. We’ll look at different nest boxes construction and what is needed to attract bluebirds to your backyard along with their food sources, their predators, the problems with house sparrows and starlings and tips on how to solve these problems.

Attendees will gain a greater understanding and hopefully a desire to help these cavity nesting birds
and will walk away as enthusiastic Ambassadors for the Bluebirds!

The meeting begins at 7pm and is free and open to everyone.
