Event Description
Join HAWK at the September 1st meeting for the local premier of the NOVA special "Incredible Journey of the Butterflies". This hour long film produced by PBS NOVA, flies along with the monarchs on their migration from Mexico to Canada and back, visiting spectacular locations along the way. Shot in stunning detail, the film reveals the monarch as a scientific marvel locked in an inspiring struggle for survival. Attendees will learn how they can assist these amazing creatures on their journey.
The HAWK meeting will begin at 7pm at the Matthews Community Center, 100 McDowell Street, Matthews, NC 28105 on Tuesday September 1, 2009. The meeting is free and open to everyone.
