Dr. Doug Tallamy, author of Bringing Nature Home: How Native Plant Sustain Wildlife in Our Gardens. Dr. Tallamy will explain why we must change our approach to gardening and landscaping if we hope to share the spaces in which we live and work with other living things.

Dr. Doug Tallamy is Professor and Chair of the Department of Entomology and Wildlife Ecology at the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware, where he has authored 69 research articles and has taught Insect Taxonomy, Behavioral Ecology, and other courses for 28 years. His research goals is to better understand the many ways insects interact with plants and how such interactions determine the diversity of animal communities. His book “Bringing Nature Home; How Native Plants Sustain Wildlife in Our Gardens” was awarded the 2008 silver medal by the Garden Writer’s Association.
