Event Description

Kayak or canoe, up to you! It's time for our monthly full moon paddle events on Mountain Island Lake. This time we'll leave from the Neck Road Access. Plan to be there to unload your boats by 8:00 pm so we're in the water before dark. We'll take our time, hug the shoreline and watch the moon rise. It's usually bright and calm during a full moon, with beautiful reflection on the water. NOTE: pfd's and a light, whether headlamp or flashlight Strapped to Your Boat are both mandatory and required by law!!

Storms have moved through but we may get some more smaller ones. Wind should die down by the time we get on the water, and chance of storms will go down. Call if you're not sure. My e-mail yesterday has my phone number.

There are no rentals on Mountain Island Lake so you do need to bring a kayak or canoe.

Hi - does one need their own kayak for this event, or can they be rented at the lake?
