This training will be panel style and group discussion with a few individuals leading the conversation.

9:00am - Meet and greet with a breakfast.

10:00 - Introductions and opening remarks by Tim Gestwicki, NCWF Executive Director and Alen Baker, NCWF President.

10:15 - The necessities of a good public meeting

Panel: Carol Buie Jackson, HAWK, Tim Aydlett – Albemarle Conservation & Wildlife Chapter

11:00 - Communications – press releases, websites, newsletters.

Panel: Julie Higgie - Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationists, Jessica Maceda - PACT and Debbie Foster - HAWK

11:45 – Break for 15 minutes

12:00 – Organizing fun events and outings

Panel: Erin Singer - PACT, Diane Willis - Mountain Island Lake Wildlife Stewards and Leslie Weiser - HAWK

12:45 – Lunch, slide show of chapter activities, and “Tip of the Month” by Ernie McLaney

1:15 – Leadership recruitment and communications

2:00 – Fundraising, past and future events

Panel: Bill Jarman and Larry Capps - PAWS, Kathleen McKeithan – Capital Chapter

2:45 – 15 minute break

3:00 – NCWF Chapter Communications

Panel: Chris North - NCWF, Steve Schmeiser - Mountain WILD

3:30 - Recycling programs – Cindy Kanelos and Nils - HAWK

3:45 – Now and the Future of Wildlife Chapters

No Panel: Group discussion

4:30 – National Wildlife Federation – Past, Present and Future

Richard Mode – NCWF Affiliate Representative to NWF and NWF Outreach Coordinator, Climate Change

4:45 - Chapter charter signing and presentation

WHAT TO BRING:

- Wear your chapter gear, t-shirts, etc.
- Bring your chapter displays, hats, t-shirts, brochures, sample of newsletters and anything else you may have for education and outreach. There will be several tables to set up your materials.
- B.Y.O.B. (Bring Your Old Batteries) – HAWK will collect old batteries and discuss their new recycling initiative.

Tim A. - I sent a message to your wife yesterday that I still have a room with a queen bed. I do have cats if that's ok. Let me know if you still need it. Fri and sat nights both ok with me.

Looking forward to working with everyone! Our chapter is building woodduck boxes this morning. It has been a great week in N C since the property around Grandfather Mountain has been preserved and officially added to our State Park system. Tim
