That is a terrific idea! We have been saving our egg shells for an outdoor composter since we can't really put them in our vermicomposter. Now, I know what we can do with them in the meantime!!!! Such a great little video. Thanks for sharing.

I love the tip on feeding the eggshells to the birds- I have been feeding mine to the chickens and to the worms in the vermicompost worm farm, but here's another important population that can benefit. I will pass this info on to my egg buying customers at the market and invite them to bring back the shells if they are so inclined and not feeding birds themselves. Happy birthday girl- I always suspected you were a taurus with your passionate love of nature/mother earth. dhijana
