Jessica:

I would like to personally invite you to participate in the planting of longleaf pine trees as outlined under the events calendar dated February 13, 2010. This is a Saturday outing and will involve a drive to Southern Pines, NC located in the Sandhills of NC. There will be a similar opportunity on the following two Saturdays Feb 20 and Feb 27. I am working to help organize as large of a turn-out as possible. This event is being sponsored by The Nature Conservancy of North Carolina and will give all participants a first hand look at the longleaf pine ecosystem and an opportunity to offset part of our carbon footprint. You can call me at (980) 875-8900 for more details.

Thanks,

Gil Burnette

Sorry we missed you tonight. It was a good meeting. If you give me your e-mail address, I'll include you on a synopsis I'm preparing.

That's fantastic, I'm glad you can make it. Were you logged in when you tried to RSVP? There are at least two other people who plan to be there other than the RSVPs we can see. I would like for everyone to RSVP if possible so everyone on the network can see that this will be well-attended. If you still can't RSVP when you're logged in, we'll report it to Ernie and see what we can do.

Hey, Jessica. Can you make it to our brainstorming meeting next week? Take a look under the events description. I'm planning on at least half a dozen people attending - they're a bit remiss in RSVPing on the site, but they will be there. Based on your background, I think you could be a great asset to the chapter plus it's a great way to get involved and make a contribution to the area. It's also a good way to get to know the habitat and wildlife around Mountain Island Lake.
