Spring Migrants and returning birds are coming into the park. Recently seen and heard was a Summer Tanager, Wood Thrush and a Indigo Bunting. The Siskins are still there as of Friday, April 17. The Red Shouldered hawk is believed to be nesting again this year. They were seen building a nest earlier this spring.

I was there this afternoon meeting with an Eagle Scout candidate and saw Yellow Rumped Warblers (and plenty of siskins!)

I birded at Squirrel Lake Park for an hour today and added to the BIrd List a European Starling , a Ruby Crowned Kinglet and a Black Vulture. The feeders still have Siskins and the other daily visitors.

I'm so glad you're doing this! It's another way of validating the park.
