Mike Hjellming Turkey Vultures in Winter

When the cold weather arrives, we have a flock of turkey vultures that congregate in a section of trees in our neighborhood. There are about a 100 of them this year. Since they are such large birds, and we all know they're carrion eaters, it's kinda creepy. The house across the street seems to be a favorite morning warm-up spot. Unfortunately, I hear their talons will damage shingles - not to mention much more noticeable excrement. Continue
