Long past are the days when we automatically reached for a can of RAID every time we encountered an insect, spider, or ‘bug’. We all know that pesticides are over used and that they are not good for the environment, but do we really know all of the…
In August we discussed where we've been and general possibilities. Now let's sit down to see where we want to go from here. Opportunities are available for everything from board member positions to just helping out a little now and then. Do a little…

Cindi, I would like to invite you to participate in the planting of longleaf pine trees as outlined under the events calendar dated February 13, 2010. This is a Saturday outing and will involve a drive to Southern Pines, NC located in the Sandhills of NC. There will be a similar opportunity on the following two Saturdays Feb 20 and Feb 27. I am working to help organize as large of a turn-out as possible. This event is being sponsored by The Nature Conservancy of North Carolina and will give all participants a first hand look at the longleaf pine ecosystem and an opportunity to offset part of our carbon footprint. You can call me at (980) 875-8900 for more details.

This is a sheltie but I used to be owned by an aussie. I love their personality and energy. Yours is gorgeous!
Hi, Cindy. Do join us and bring friends! Since there won't be a huge crowd, it's probably best if we each bring whatever we each want for a picnic rather than do the potluck thing. Oh, and we'll try to get a couple of picnic tables put together - the pavilion isn't available - so bring a chair or two as backup just in case! I'll still bring the paper products and some soda.
Welcome aboard! Thanks for signing in. I hope to see you at our meeting this Thursday. And do check back to this website often for all current events and happenings.
Welcome to the NCWF Ning site, Cindi!
I'm with the HAWK group in Matthews/Charlotte. We hope you will find this site useful in connecting to others with similar wildlife interests across the state. There's lots of potential here for networking and staying up to date on events and news. Let me know if have questions about using this site.
