Can anyone tell me about the Glen Bridge River Park access on the French Broad River. I am planning on a trip on the 25th and would like to go out here. What is water like in this area?
I will not be able to attend as I will be in Beaufort. I am paddling the Combahee. Just a note, There is not very much parking at the Cedar Creek landing and there is a short portage. When I was there last, I had to unload the trailer and then back…

Ray, I would like to personally invite you to participate in the planting of longleaf pine trees as outlined under the events calendar dated February 13, 2010. This is a Saturday outing and will involve a drive to Southern Pines, NC located in the Sandhills of NC. There will be a similar opportunity on the following two Saturdays Feb 20 and Feb 27. I am working to help organize as large of a turn-out as possible. This event is being sponsored by The Nature Conservancy of North Carolina and will give all participants a first hand look at the longleaf pine ecosystem and an opportunity to offset part of our carbon footprint. You can call me at (980) 875-8900 for more details.
Thanks Ray. I've been looking forward to this trip for MONTHS! I'm concerned about the levels. I think the Cedar Creek cage is busted. It's not recording well and hasn't budged above 3' even though the river cage is rising.
