Hey there! yes indeed! How are all your composting adventures going?

I have been a flake of late. My mom has not been doing well and I went back to work - both necessarily getting all my attention of late. I need to get back to what centers me..... - Lj

Nancy,
This link has the common and latin names for many native North Carolina Plants, including several varieties of Milkweed. You can download a copy or order a copy for about $1 from the NC Cooperative Extension Service: Landscaping for Wildlife with Native Plants. Good Luck! Let me know if you find any on your trip.

I am getting a new batch of baby chicks- gold comets- great layers in mid July. Joan is taking 4. I am still waiting to hear from Carol B-J on how many she wants, and my massage therapist is taking some. There may be some left over in case you know someone interested in backyard chickens. Someday soon maybe we'll have our own tour d'coop like they have in Raleigh every year. Meanwhile, I spend most of my spare time in the garden or at the TailGate Market in SouthEnd on Saturday AM. We got the pond filled finally, and now are working on the stream/waterfall that links to it. After that the bog and finishing the landscaping around the whole system. It has been a long while coming, but will be beautiful and already a very popular spot with the millions of frogs toads and other water lovers. You should hear the chorus at night time around the 5 ponds we have on the property. BTW- when are you coming over? It is of course a work in progress, but how will you know how far we have come if you don't see it before it is finished. dhijana
