Hi, Lisy!
Welcome to the NCWF HAWK site!
There's lots of good information here including the abiltiy to see what's going on in other chapters across the state. Also, you can connect with other NCW members here.
Let me know if you have questions, comments or suggestions.

Lisy,
I received your email about owl boxes and yes, I think you would benefit from putting up a variety of nesting boxes, for owls as well as smaller birds. You may want to also consider taking the Habitat Steward Training in Sept. Its a 24 hour course over three days and you will learn lots of ways to welcome the wildlife to your home. There's more information on the HAWK Group page on this site (click on "groups" at the top) and make sure you join the HAWK group while you are there to receive updates about the South part of the city.
NC NATIVE PLANT LISTS--Downloadable
Mecklenburg County created an extensive list of native plants, their soil and light requirements and what they provide for wildlife. Feel free to download these files to your computer Native Tree List.xls
