Hi Leslie, sorry to be so long to respond. My new computer blew up and I've been through a few weeks of cyber hell. Thanks for noticing the phesant. I've waited many years to get this picture. I have seen pictures like this in Field and Stream since I was a little boy and wanted my own pictures of phesant tails sticking out of the game bag. I was invited to speak to a group of Montana Wildlife Federation partners two years ago and my price for the speech was a couple of days of bird hunting. We hunted out of Great Falls in the native grass lands. It was spectacular. I loved the days because we were getting up a mixed bag of birds. Phesant, sharpe tails (which is a magnificent animal) and huns. Also stumbled on huge mule deer which we just watched almost run over us. Last year I was invited to visit Conservation Reserve Program lands in Iowa with my Regional Rep from NCWF. He had local contacts with farmers we had worked with on Farm Bill stuff. It too was an awesome trip. I was hunting with home boys both times so I can't give you much info on guides, but I can put you in touch with the home boys out there who can. I also want to tell you about public hunting in Montana. You can send your contact info to my email at grmode@earthlink.net and we can chat at your convenience. Nice fish. Is that a rainbow or steelhead?

Leslie, I think my sister Mary Snyder will be taking this class. She has certified her yard as a NWF Habitat and is working on doing the same to her church.

Welcome Leslie!
I think this group has lots of potential for networking and learning about events all across the state. I hope you find it useful.

Hey, Leslie! Great to see you on the website, and many thanks for signing up for our bird box project. I'll get back with everyone in a week or so with final details.
Oh, and take a look at our moonlight kayak on August 16th - we'll be going out of Nance Cove.
See you soon!
