Morganton NC - A little about us

My husband, Matthew, and I live in Morganton. We met at ASU in 2000 where we shared a love of the outdoors, growing things, and raising animals. Fishing, Paddling, Wildlife, Local Food, and Sustainability are some of our interests.

I look forward to becoming involved with NCWF!

We are big supporters of Heifer International

Heifer, the gift that keeps on giving.Heifer International fights hunger and poverty by providing livestock and trainig in their care to needy communities. Heifer is commited to teaching sustainable agricultural methods. Something that makes Heifer really special is the concept of passing on the gift whereby recipients of animals and training from Heifer agree to pass the first female offspring and their knowledge to another needy member of their community.

Yes, I did the presentation. I thought your name sounded familiar but your picture looks different somehow. Small world!
I think you are closer to the Mountain Wild group though you could always look into starting one in Morganton, though you seem to have your hands full. Check the "Events" page out for their next meeting and contact one of the chapter members to see where they meet. You should consider certifying your property, I bet it already meets the requirements. Check this link: www.nwf.org

Hi, Katie! Welcome to the NCWF group!
We are happy you have joined up and hope you find this network useful in connecting to other nature enthusiasts across the state as well as events taking place. I went to your website you listed below and was impressed. What a great place to live!
My son went to NCSD and we were frequent visitors to the Morganton area while he was there. Good luck with getting the fences taken care of!
