A shout out to Matthews Animal Control
Mia spousa and me were filling the feeders at Squirrel Lake today and watched a Matthews Animal Control officer, assisted by a Matthews PD officer remove multiple fish hooks from the feet and legs of one of the Canada Geese living there. The little guy could barely walk. A couple of Matthews maintenance workers called it in and it was great to watch the goose dash away after his operation.
There are good folks everywhere but we seem to have more than our share in Matthews.
