Event Description

CONTACT GIL BURNETTE ON THIS SITE TO COORDINATE TRAVEL TO THIS EVENT.
Come and see one of our prettiest preserves in the area and help make some other preserves even prettier. We will be gathering wiregrass seeds at the Calloway preserve on Saturday, November 14th, Wednesday November 18th, with a rain day scheduled for Saturday November 21st. This is easy and fun work. You will get to meet some of the staff and other volunteers of like mind and values. I know this is a bad time of year, but we have no choice, our window of opportunity is limited and we need all the help we can get. So get your Holiday shopping done early so you can come out and join the fun.

We will meet at the pole barn at the front of Calloway Forest (directions below) at 10:00 am and work until mid afternoon. Bring a bag lunch, water bottle, gloves and hand clippers (if you have any). We will not be in a dangerous area but it is hunting season, so wear bright clothes. There are no restroom facilities other than those provided by nature, but we can get you to one if need be.
